Editorial Reviews

Only five songs here were featured prominently in Quentin Tarantino's rousing crime film ("Little Green Bag," "Hooked on a Feeling," "I Gotcha," "Stuck in the Middle With You," and "Coconut"), but the record includes Steven Wright's introductions from the film (separately indexed, thankfully), as well as Tarantino's infamous interpretation of the meaning of Madonna's "Like a Virgin" and Harvey Keitel's monologue on how to rob a jewelry store. In total, that's about fifteen to twenty minutes of material. Padding out the rest of the disc are three new songs that were heard in passing in the film -- "Fool for Love" is very good, "Harvest Moon" passable, and "Magic Carpet Ride" is abominable. After this, the disc has passed the half hour mark by two minutes. The amount of music you'll actually want to listen to makes it even shorter, but it is a soundtrack you'll want to return to. August 05, 2002: i'm gonna buy the sound track soon, but i've seen the movie and i think its great. Its not as violent as people think. It might just seem that way because people are bleeding the whole time. its more than just the madonna conversation, its directed great, its humorous, and Tim Roth was excellent. i recomend the music as well as the movie.

November 18, 2001: I haven't actually seen Reservoir Dogs, but I listened to some of the music when I was 10 years old and I really liked it. I bought a copy last March and played it many times. One thing that really amazes me is that when Steven Wright announces the ''K Billy's Super Sounds Of The 70's Weekend'', KBilly is a station that only plays 70's music. How ironic is that? Little Green Bag, Hooked On A Feeling and Stuck In The Middle are cool songs. Harvest Moon is a beautiful at-night-with-friends tune. The main funny and erotic song is Coconut. To those who haven't seen the movie, if you listen to Madonna Speech, that's basically all the movie is: talking about sex, frequent coarse language, using really bad slangs. It's very violent too from what I've heard. There's even a scene where there's guy who cuts off a cop's ear and beats him up. And a guy who attacks another guy with an electric razor. But my friend's motto on movies is, 'The bloodier the better.'
