About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Richard Marx's second album is almost as strong as his first, even if it shows that his songwriting has a tendency to slip into sappy, saccharine clichés. Nevertheless, it contains some major hit singles -- "Satisfied," "Right Here Waiting," "Angelia," "Children of the Night," and "Too Late to Say Goodbye." Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

Richard Marx Still A Hitby sadie_leona

March 24, 2009: So, yes, this CD is a little out-dated for those who see my age. They yelp and say GOD - you weren't even born when he was a hit! Yes, I have already chided my parents for not having me a little sooner - just a few months earlier and I could have gotten one of those rocky MADE IN THE 80s tees. -sad face- I am a dedicated thrift-store shopper for orginial casette tapes and own cases and cases stashed in my car.

Richard Marx, a hit since 1987, is one of the only artists I know who haven't changed their sounds through the decades. He still has that soothing tune that, even when it's a song that, in lyric form, would want to make you slit your wrists (CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT, my personal favorite), makes you so happy you can't do anything else but smile. It used to be an old ritual of mine to listen to such stimulating tunes while reading, but I can't with Marx - I must give him my full attention. Richard Marx is trully one of the greatest artists and all of his tracks should be coveted.

Go to iTunes now and listen to a few of his - you'll be tune-ified, too!
