The album's title is a bit misleading, since Tokyo Rose (NJ) does little reinventing on its proper debut (not counting an amateurish EP the band put out on a tiny indie), but does an admirable job nonetheless flogging the same emotional pop-punk roots as many of the band's Sidecho peers. A promising beginning. Brian O'Neill, All Music Guide
