Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart recorded five albums for Mercury Records between 1969 and 1974, albums that included such hit songs as "Maggie May," "Every Picture Tells a Story," and "You Wear It Well." The three-disc collection Reason to Believe compiles all 56 studio tracks Stewart recorded and released on Mercury, including remastered versions of his five Mercury albums -- The Rod Stewart Album, Gasoline Alley, Every Picture Tells a Story, Never a Dull Moment, and Smiler -- along with non-album rarities. Among them are five tracks recorded in 1973–74 and only released on the import-only Handbags & Gladrags compilation: "You Put Something Better Inside Me," "Crying Laughing Loving Lying," "So Tired," "Every Time We Say Goodbye," and "Missed You."
