Editorial Reviews

Culled from Sarah McLachlan’s illustrious recording career, the Rarities, B-Sides and Other Stuff, Volume 2 collection contains just what the title suggests -- live performances, rare recordings, remixes, and soundtrack contributions. In addition, the album includes exceptional, one-of-a-kind duets with Bryan Adams, Cyndi Lauper, and Emmylou Harris. Barnes & Noble

May 04, 2008: I have heard friends criticize Sarah McClachlan as being "whiny" or "insipid". I sort of know what they were getting at. But when I played this new release, I was blown away. And when it got to her famous song "Angel" a duet with Emmylou Harris here, it tore my heart out. I realized for the first time how raw those lyrics really are. I've heard the song a thousand times, but it's as if I heard it for the first time. I find the cut "Prayer of St. Francis" to be pure genius. This is one of those rare unexpected finds.
