There's nothing on Lalo Rodriquez' Pura Salsa that hasn't already been included on one of the many best-of compilations released under his name. Nearly the entirety of 1996's Antología Tropical is found here (and don't worry, "Maximo Chamarro" and "Francisco Andante" aren't forgotten on this one). So anyone who already has a few Rodriguez albums, or even a decent compilation, won't find much of added interest, but the sound quality is good, and most of the hits from the singer's later, poppier career are all included. Those wishing to have a good introduction to the songs Rodriguez is best known for will have no problems with the Pura Salsa release. In fact, it will probably be very much enjoyed.
