February 01, 2005: This is an awsome cd! This alblum proves why, in the realm of Metalcore, Bleeding Through is surpassed only by Killswitch Engage. Every track is absolutely, devastatingly awsome; there are no fillers here. Portrait uses a little more melody than This is Love, This Murderous, but, amazingly, Portrait does not sacrifce heaviness for melody. It instead utilizes both to beat you you to a smouldering pulp. For those of you who have never heard Bleeding Through, but are wondering what they sound like, I will do my best to describr them: imagine a metalcore group that has a gothic flavor and and is heavier than most Black Metal and Death Metal bands. And the lyric, hehehe, the lyrics are seething with the justified rage of someone who has been betrayed and left to die. And, much to my pleasant surprize, Bleeding Through achieves all this without being Satanic. All in all, one of the best metalcore cds you can buy. If you do choose to buy this cd, you will not be dissapointed.
