About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

In a musical climate where TRL superstars such as Britney, the Backstreet Boys, and 'N Sync have ruled the charts with a decaffeinated version of R&B, Jon B. is a proud exception. Yes, he has boy-band good looks, but there's nothing teeny-pop about this Babyface protégé's music. His third disc, Pleasures U Like, stays true to the neo-soul roots the smooth tenor planted with his previous discs, Bonafide and Cool Relax. This time, however, instead of making his mainstays lush ballads such as "Someone to Love" and "They Don't Know," B. kicks his new jack soul up a notch with a hip-hop twist. And cameos from rapper Nas on the groovy, D'Angelo-esque "The Finer Things" and hip-hop soul diva Faith Evans on the seductive duet "Sof'N Sweet" add to Jon B.'s street credibility, strengthening his standing as one of contemporary R&B's freshest faces and voices. September 27, 2010: Jon B has always been great, but this album just shows off his talents. The opening interlude, nicely leads you on to Finer Things; which is one of the best mellow R&B songs I have ever heard. I love his voice; This is an R&B album that you should buy.... if u appreciate good music!!
