December 21, 2007: I'm not sure if this album by the Beatles is everyone's particular cup of tea. Who drinks tea anymore anyhow? I think my dad does. Never the less, you're certain to get up and spontaneously dance to the Lennon/McCartney numbers on hand here. I SAW HER STANDING THERE is worth the price of admission. And I'll admit, my grandmother even liked that one and she's 94!

August 22, 2006: You can definitely tell that this is the Beatles first album without even listening to the record. Just looking at the back cover (which shows that not all of the songs were their own compositions) does. And you can definitely tell when you listen to the album which songs Lennon/McCartney did or did not write. I'm not saying it's a bad album at all, some of their greatest simply rock songs are on this CD. It shows just a glimmer of what is yet to come out of this group, but considering it's a debut album, it's a great one!
