August 01, 2009: Love! this cd. It is fantastic. Worth special order. Heard it on classical station on my way to work and almost had to stop the car it was so entrancing. The repetitive motif is involving, sort of obsessive, rather than annoying. CD takes me to another place...very etheral. The additional tracts are great too. Use this one when I paint.

August 11, 2004: This was my first exposure to Philip Glass' music and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. I come from a classical background and when I sampled this CD, I at first dismissed it thinking it was too different(weird). Then a magical thing happened and I went back and listened again, and again until I finally purchased the CD. I think that's the Glass experience, his music is so haunting and sublime that it stays with you and you come to love it. It is trully fascinating what an imprint Glass has made on contemporary music, this albulm is by every right definition of that marvelous imprint. Every song has something to say and do and from the sounding of each note you realize that this music is something to be appreciated. Inspiring and trully influential, "Glassworks" speaks Philip Glass' greatness.
