Humble Pie's middle was held together by Jerry Shirley "drums" and Greg Ridley "bass". Clem Clemson "lead guitar" didn't join the Pie until the Smokin' album, when Frampton left. This is a period when Humble Pie was touring with Grand Funk Railroad and Bloodrock, both managed by Terry Knight.

Humble Pie only played at one speed, Mach 2 with their hair on fire. Steve loved Ray Charles and his cover of Hallejuah gives me goosebumps. That opening guitar riff is so sweet. Plus the blazing guitar of Peter Frampton, this cd needs to be played at full volume with great other songs like "Don't need no doctor, I'm Ready and Stone Cold Fever". Pie's center was held together with Jerry Shirley on drums and Clem Clemson and in one of the countrys best forums "the Fillmore". this is a classic piece of music for that time period.
