The soundtrack to Pay It Forward features "Calling All Angels" by Jane Siberry and Thomas Newman's original score, which bears more than a passing resemblance to his Academy Award-nominated music for American Beauty -- which also starred Kevin Spacey. These compositions, however, focus more on the moving, emotional side of Newman's style, especially on songs like "I Forgive You" and the title track "One Kiss." Despite its similarity with some of his other works, Pay It Forward's unique arrangements and kinetic melodies won't disappoint Newman's fans. Heather Phares, All Music Guide
