Italian singer Zucchero made his name in his homeland largely working with blues-inflected material, but Overdose d'Amore: The Ballads showcases a rather different side. Zucchero demonstrates on this compilation of previously released material that he can also hold his own as an emotional, adult contemporary-style pop balladeer, taking on duet partners like Sting, Sheryl Crow, and even Luciano Pavarotti.
