This is a pretty good solo album...it's not the definite Jimmy Page sound (listen to Zeppelin for that). The songs with John Miles are excellent (he should of sung on the whole album). The Page/Plant tune "The Only One" was ok as far as sounding like a NON-ZEPPELIN tune...but trying to sound like Zeppelin, im not sure if that was the point on the album, anyways..but it doesnt matter. I thought the instrumentals kicked alot of butt...Emerald eyes is probably the best song on here and one of Page's best work of his entire career. His mix of guitars and synths make this an emotional rocker. But what destroyed the album was the singer Chris Farlowe (except for "Who's To Blame" from the Death Wish II soundtrack)...I didnt think his voice went great with the music...maybe Page should worked with someone like BB King on this. I didnt get that blues feeling listening to Farlowe...and I couldnt stand his lyrics on his songs on here. Hell, i think Plant or Miles would of sounded better on the Blues songs...but overall, its a great solo effort. Best Songs: Wasting My Time, Liquid Mercury, Emerald Eyes.
