About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

With his sophomore recording, On the Moon, Peter Cincotti removes any doubt that he’s a real contender for Harry Connick’s throne. Interpreting Great American Songbook classics, pop gems, and four memorable original songs, Cincotti belies his youth with an assured album that proves he’s no flash in the publicist’s pan. Whether he's tackling well-loved chestnuts (“I Love Paris,” “Bali Ha’i,” “You Don’t Know Me,” and “St. Louis Blues”), Carole King tunes that were originally early-'60s hits for the Drifters (“Some Kind of Wonderful,” “Up on the Roof”), or the originals that display his growing confidence as a composer, Cincotti reveals his evident maturity and charm as a lightly swinging vocalist. And if that weren’t impressive enough, the concluding “Cherokee” acts as a fine showcase for his striking piano chops. Make no mistake about it -- Cincotti is here to stay. December 26, 2004: This CD is truly outstanding from start to finish. If you have not seen him live in concert, this is the next best thing! He is already a star, but it will be interesting to continue to see his popularity grow...An incredible voice, an exceptional pianist, a way of making music come to life in his own personal style and a stage presence that appears to be so humbled...this will be one of your favorite cd's of all time!!!!
