About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Known for their hard-driving sound, Third Day have taken a creative left turn on Offerings, an uplifting collection of praise and worship tunes. Part greatest hits collection, part live album, Offerings, shows us a side of the Georgia-based band that's only been glimpsed in the past. Indeed, Third Day has dabbled in the worship genre over the years, recording Michael W. Smith's "Agnus Dei" for the Exodus compilation, and their own "Your Love Oh Lord" from the Dove Award-winning Time. Both songs appear here as live recordings, full of the energy that's become a hallmark of the band's concerts. Six new worship songs were recorded for Offerings as well, of which a standout is a cover of Bob Dylan's "Saved." Third Day's trademark rock sound remains intact throughout this collection but Offerings also shows a feel for nuance that some of the band's previous efforts have lacked. And lead singer Mac Powell has never sounded stronger, making Offerings a truly praise-worthy release. Lisa Zhito, Barnes & Noble

August 04, 2003: This is by far my favorite worship album. Third Day's songs are absolutely terrific. It's hard not to cry when you hear songs like "Thief" and "Love Song" It's great to listen to in the car after work. It really relaxes you and makes your heart long to worship God and write your own worship songs. Definitley a Must-Have
