Oasis of Bliss is the third volume in Real Music's Peace of Mind compilation series. As before it brings together tracks from most of the artists recording for the label, like Karunesh ("Stargazing"), 2002 ("Valley of Healing Waters"), and electro-harpist Hilary Stagg ("Beyond the Horizon"). Oasis is as sonically soothing as the words used in its titles and liner notes, from songs like Karunesh's "Moon Temple" to descriptive phrases like "wash away daily stresses" or "music crafted to bring you to a place of harmony." The music here isn't very curious. It sticks to the simplistic, contemplative piano lines, subtle woodwinds, and gauzy textures that have come to define new age in general. June 01, 2009: One of my all time favorites! If you crave becoming lost in the rich, encompassing sound of New Age music, this is an absolute winner. There are a handful of Real Music CD's that top the list, and this is one of them. Others in the Peace of Mind Series are worthy as well. Absolutely one of my all time favorities!!!
