If you are a blues, Johnny Winter, or Muddy Waters fan, you should own this set. Nothin But The Blues was Johnny recording with Muddy Waters best band, the lineup that was on the albums Johnny produced for Muddy in the 70s. The band has that sound that made those Muddy albums sooooo good, plus Johnny singing and playing not the power blues that made him famous, but more suited to this band. GREAT blues.
White, Hot and Blue is my favorite Johnny album, and I have them all. Released in 77 or 78, it is not Johnny playing blisteringly fast, but VERY good. The song choices are good too; Last Night, Easy Rider, Jimmy Reeds Honest I do (a duet with Edgar) and others. If you like Johnny, or guitar blues, get this set.
