About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

The bottom line is this: the Lime Spiders catalog is unavailable in the United States. This collection of 26 cuts on a single disc offers the best of the best of Mick Blood and company's Australian garage madness on the greatest of Australian labels and one of the best reissue labels in the biz -- Raven. This quartet was obsessed with the late '60s but seemed to draw inspiration from punk as well. Included here are album tracks as well as most of the Weirdo Libido EP and covers of "1-2-5," Arthur Lee's "My Flash on You," and Barry Tashian's "Time of Day." Perhaps the Lime Spiders' most important moment is here as well: their completely unhinged "Out of Control," the single greatest track they ever cut. At the risk of hyperbole, "Out of Control" is worth the entire purchase price of this monster set. Highly recommended. Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
