It's a very Nickelodeon Christmas with SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora, Jimmy Neutron, the Fairly Oddparents, the Rugrats, and the Backyardigans. Nick Holiday opens with SpongeBob and his pals singing "Very First Christmas"; they rhyme the made-up word "loverly" with the phrase "harm you bodily" and still maintain their holiday spirit. Dora contributes backing vocals to "Feliz Navidad," with a friendly male voice leading, and the Rugrats baby-talk their way through "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." The impersonated infant voices are pretty grating -- at least to grown-up ears -- especially when they start yelling "Here we go here we go!" over "Rudolph"'s hip-hop beat. But like the rest of Nick Holiday, the song is bright and irrepressibly happy, perfect for keeping kids occupied while you finish wrapping their presents. Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide
