More Than A Soundtrackby NancyinTampa

October 04, 2009: I bought the NCIS Soundtrack while I was traveling and needed something new to make driving less monotonous. I am a huge NCIS fan, so that was the other reason. What I discovered was a great variety of music, some very strong songs, and some nice surprises. There are two discs in artfully done packaging, plus liner notes that are art themselves. Which one should I try first? The one labeled "Abby's Lab", of course, because that's where you notice the show's music most. There's some great material on this one, including "Fear" from Pauley Perrette herself (Abby). I really want to hear more from her! (I had this disc in my single disc CD player in my car for two months!) Then I had to hear the "Special Agent" disc. Awesome songs as well, with a different emotional tone, including Bob and Jacob Dylan, separately. Cote de Pablo (Ziva on the show)does a very nice rendition of "Temptation", the Tom Waits song originally made famous by Diana Krall. This compilation of songs is definitely worth adding to your collection.

A decent roundup, but...by resqspc

July 04, 2009: A good collection of many of the songs used over the few seasons of NCIS, including the long form of the show's Main Theme and Cote de Pablo's peformance of 'Temptation' (lyrics by Tom Waites). A must-have for the serious fan of the show, although I'd've preferred more of the show's original music be included, too.
