Editorial Reviews

Fans of Josh Groban already know the violin playing of Lucia Micarelli. Following appearances with the Trans Siberian Orchestra, Micarelli was tapped to play lead fiddle in Groban's live shows, and on her debut album, Music from a Farther Room, she conjures a musical mixture of a kind that Grobanites will find familiar. Drawing on classical favorites such as Massenet's Thäis "Méditation" (with guest artist Lang Lang), as well as pop standards like "My Funny Valentine" and more contemporary fare from the likes of Ennio Morricone and David Bowie, the album announces a fresh new voice in the ever-expanding world of classical crossover. April 13, 2007: The first time I heard Lucia play she took my breath away. She is poetry in motion, never missing a note, just pure silkly sounds resonating through your ears. Every song has its ouwn beautiful melody. My favorite would be Nocturne/Bohemian Rhapsody. My wife and I just had the priveledge to hear he play again at a Josh Grohban concert. Wow!!! If your not sure if you like Violins? Buy this alblum and it will change your mind. Good luck, enjoy!
