Editorial Reviews

All of the hits from the Dirty Dancing movie were included on the first soundtrack, which leaves More Dirty Dancing as nothing more than a pleasant collection of oldies and faceless MOR adult contemporary pop. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

August 06, 2004: as with many things in life, the sequal does not messure up to the original. on the original cd, a few really good songs were left off, and i am sure that this was eventually realized by the DD company. out to make more money, they released More DD, with these 2 or 3 great songs. knowing that most wouldnt spend $15 for 3 songs, they thus had to add 10 fillers. at least, this is the way the cd sounds - as if they gave up after a few attempts at a good soundtrack-cd. however, to any deep Dirty Dancing fan, it is still nice to hear some of the songs, which do put the movie back in your mind, and there is absolutly nothing wrong with that!

June 18, 2003: This CD is only good if you already have the original "Dirty Dancing" soundtrack. The two instrumental versions of "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" make you want to throw this CD out of the player and listen to the real version. The best track to me is "De Todo Un Poco." The other dancing songs are O.K., and I can't believe the Kellerman's Anthem is on this CD; it's the original straight from the movie because you know how Patrick Swayze interrupts the singing of the Kellerman's anthem in the movie to say he wants to dance with Baby and all that?, well they have the people slowly being cutting off when they see him come on stage until there's just one lady singing and they cut her off. :-D Good, but leaves much to be desired.
