About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Some singers sing, but Kelly Price can blow. Respected by such heavyweights as Whitney Houston, with whom she performed the single "Heartbreak Hotel" on Houston's My Love Is Your Love, Price paid her dues as a backup singer for big-name artists such as Mariah Carey, Faith Evans, Brian McKnight, and Aretha Franklin. And those experiences serve her well on her sophomore effort, which showcases this singer's beautiful, church-honed soprano and heartfelt emotional range. On "She Wants You," Price bares her soul, warning her naïve lover that she's "never gonna let another one take what's mine." On the flip side, Price slips into the conflicting role of the other woman in her excellent remake of Shirley Murdock's yearning classic "As We Lay." Price's cover version was produced by Shep Crawford and Montell Jordan, whose sparse musical backdrop complements Price's acrobatic vocals. Changing the pace a bit, the club-ready "Good Love" and the bluesy, mid-tempo "Can't Run Away" offer a nice diversion from the album's predominantly smooth grooves. Perhaps the most daring track is the three-way ballad "All I Want Is You," on which K-Ci and Gerald Levert compete vocally for Price's affections. With Mirror, Mirror, Kelly Price makes it clear that she won't be relegated to the background, and given her soulful voice and magnetic presence, we're happy to see her getting top billing. May 31, 2003: Mrs. Kelly Prices is one of few soultry R&B, Jazz, Gospel singers out. This third album "MIRROR MIRROR" has proved to be one of the best. There are some amazing songs on the album. My personal favorites are the two songs co-written and performed by Robert "R" Kelly (The National Anthem and She Wants You). Kelly Price has proved she is one great diva. And trust me this album is "PRICELESS"

December 10, 2001: Kelly Price's album is full of soul. She hits every issue from weight to sex in a relationship. Her Music is so clear. If any one gives her anything below 5 stars they are hating on one of the very few real to life divas out there. She gets mad love from me. My boyfriend loves her music and he plays it more than I do. She can go on with her bad self. All of her ballads are saucy. I love her music.
