I was extremely excited when I saw this album: I love instrumental music (i.e. movie scores, etc.) and Tool is my favorite rock group. When I listened to it though, I was very disappointed. There were parts that were excellent, but the artists tried too hard to get an eery sound, which isn't nice to listen to. Also, some parts were off key, like they did one only one take. Like I mentioned above, some parts were very good; I would compare it to the Requiem For a Dream soundtrack, the parts that are good are really good, but in between those you want to skip.

These compositions bring the great power of Tool's music to a whole new level. Now classical music fans can enjoy Tool too. It is brilliant how the string quartet can express the emotional and lyrical accuracy of Tool's music into a symphonic composure. Tool is one of the greatest metal bands of all time. Don't miss this album!
