February 25, 2004: the mass we made could easily be chosen for the most melancholic album in the history of music... to me, it sounds as if eliott's making his music from the grave. this album defenetly sounds timeless, each song takes it's time to evolve as if there's no such thing as time (and ofcours if you're dead, there isnt). to me it seems as if eliott is facing death with alot of pain, but in the same time with alot of acceptance and courage from the point of view of a man who's on the other side... and he surly sounds very conviencing... if the dead could sing (and maybe they can...) that's what they would sound like... in this huge masterpiece (i really like this album alot...) elliott's using folk-alternative rock and making it sound like experimental goth (not in the industrial/new wave meaning of the word but in it's atmosphere)
