The evocative score to the John Sayles political drama Men with Guns straddles the line between traditional and contemporary Latin American sounds, spanning from a rap rendition of Peter Gabriel's "Amor de Pobre" to the Afro-Caribbean rhythms of "La Verdolag" to the Mayan orchestral piece "Dios Nunca Muerte." Mason Daring's instrumental cues are no less eclectic -- the nifty "Teleguerra" is a clear homage to foreign action flicks, while "Lounge de los Incas" is a kitschy send-up of Latin exotica.
