Drumming never sounded as good as it does on Masters of Percussion, a collection by some of the world's greatest percussionists. To begin with, four of the six pieces on this release were digitally recorded live, capturing the depth of energy and nuances of intonation that are produced when musicians join force in front of an audience and creating a fascinating education in the complexity of percussion. The first-ever duet between renowned Narada drummer Michael Walden and tabla maestro Zakir Hussain is a carefully balanced piece between the precision of the drum set and softer sound of the tabla.
