About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Spanning more than two decades, this two-disc set collects Collins's signature ballads along with the singer's personal favorites, rarities, and previously unreleased performances. Love Songs… includes such top-charting hits as "One More Night," "Against All Odds," and a live version of "Separate Lives." The 25-song compilation also features renditions of standards by other composers, including his version of the Leonard Bernstein–Stephen Sondheim classic "Somewhere," a cover of Curtis Mayfield's "I've Been Trying," and a live performance of the Temptations' "My Girl." Among the other highlights is the previously unreleased "Tearing and Breaking," originally recorded in 2001 during the sessions for the Testify album. Barnes & Noble

May 03, 2009: Very nice peaceful CD. Phil Collins has an awsome voice and his music is unique. You just feel so happy when you listen to this CD even the sad songs like separate lives....

I really loved this idea!by Anonymous

April 01, 2005: I really like collections and greatest hits albums and I thought this was REALLY good listening. I especially bought it because I happened to catch the video to "Against All Odds" on VH1 Classic channel...I remembered this song on the radio from my childhood in the 1980's and I was intruiged to find out what the movie "Agains All Odds" was about (the video contained many clips to the movie, of course!) And after watching the movie I am so addicted to that song! I like the idea of a whole collection of love songs, it's not for everyone (I know some guys are cringing at the thought of an entire album of love songs), but if you're a fan of Phil and his sound & want just a full collection of only the love songs to listen to...this is great!
