This compilation is focused on the likes of Luis Enrique and Eddie Santiago, both highly successful salsa stars who indulged in the commercially romantic trend of their time. The tunes are pretty much what gave the artists their stature (the first five tunes, sung by Luis Enrique, are his best-known late-'80s hits; the same rule applies for his Puerto Rican counterpart in the remaining material) -- strictly commercial, to say the least.
