July 07, 2001: Actually, one star is generous for this recording. The recording quality of this live concert is extremely poor, among the worst recording of a live concert that I've ever heard. The sound is muddled, almost as if a single microphone, located at a significant distance from the stage in a large auditorium, was used to make the recording. The listener has the sense that the group is a great distance away. The sound is remote and has no brilliance or life. If you enjoy the music of Chicago, I'd encourage you to avoid purchasing this CD and the almost certain disappointment that would ensue.
