About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

REO Speedwagon built their audience through constant touring. Often, their live shows were more exciting than their records, which is what makes You Get What You Play For, a live run-through of their greatest hits, one of their better records of the era. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

September 02, 2005: This live-album should be remembered as a really strong one. During the ´70s, almost every band released a live-recorded double LP. This album is not far behind classics like KISS "Alive" or Zeppelin´s underrated "The songs remain the same". Two tracks have been omitted from the LP-edition, Berry´s "Little Queenie" and Richrath´s guitar solo. I don´t know the reason to this but I think they should have been included on the CD, as the playing time allows it. Anyway, this is REO Speedwagon at their best.
