Editorial Reviews

Vol. 13 in the Dave Matthews Band Live Trax series was recorded at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO, in June of 2008. The band was joined by guests Tim Reynolds on guitar and Rashawn Ross on trumpet, and performed material ranging from old standards like "Ants Marching" and "Tripping Billies" to new cuts such as "Cornbread," "Louisiana Bayou," and "#27." As has been the norm, there are a couple of choice covers included: Neil Young's "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)" and the now ubiquitous reading of Sly Stone's classic "Thank You (Falettin Me Be Mice Elf Agin)." Matthews writes good songs, but the jams get very predictable, very quickly. The bottom line is, if you are a DMB fanatic, you'll need this; if not, there is little here to convince you that you need to be. Thom Jurek, All Music Guide

June 06, 2009: This live performance is absolutely FABULOUS. I have listened to each song over and over again, enjoying every creative music moment. Attending the Busch Stadium concert last summer was an awesome experience and having the Live Trax is even better...the chance to travel back to that St. Louis summer night...the Best! I have found that I can listen to the same Dave Matthews title about ten times in a row because each song is from a different concert adventure, unique and intoxicating in its own wonderful way. I adore the musical talent that Dave Matthews shares with the musical world. Whether you are in college, or a thirty-something Mom, this Live Trax will inspire you to dance!
