About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Long bootlegged, Live Santa Monica '72 captures the glam-rock pioneer during his Ziggy Stardust prime, on his first U.S. tour, recording what is unequivocally his best concert album. Mark Kemp, Rolling Stone

Bowie at his Bestby Chrisotpher

May 02, 2009: This is an essential live Bowie album from a seminal performance. It captures Bowie at the beginning of his glam-rock peak and includes many of his notable hits from that era including: Ziggy Stardust and Suffragette City. Many of the tracks will be easily recognized as concert standards and perennial fan favorites.

In addtion, unlike the Ziggy Stardust Motion Picture Soundtrack, the sound quality on this is very high though not as bright as you might expect. Nonetheless, it is still a must have for any fan.

I Also Recommend: Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, The Man Who Sold the World.
