About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Until the release of Rhino's 2001 collection, the import collection The Very Best of the Doobie Brothers was the most comprehensive Doobie Brothers overview on the market. Containing 19 songs, this features all of the big hits, minus any of the reunion cuts, but featuring a single edit of "Long Train Runnin'" and an alternate "Listen to the Music," in addition to the album versions of both songs. It's a good collection, containing everything most listeners could want, but compared to the Rhino collection, it's not markedly better, and the Rhino disc is cheaper and easier to find.
