I bought this CD the first year it came out, somewhere around 1993 or so and it has always been a favorite every year, I mix some of these songs into a special Christmas mix and anyone that hears it always mentions what a beautiful, pure, voice Vince Gill has and he gives many of these tried and true Christmas standard's something special. Like his wife Amy Grant, both these talented artists shine on this type of music that lives on through family generations. The last cut on this collection is about the passing of his brother and the saddness of loss at Christmas, I can relate myself, it is a beautiful song and one of many highlights. Can't believe the reviewer for Barnes and Nobles gave this such a terrible review, this is classic stuff.

This is a great album, not only for the holidays but for an "uplift" any time of the year. Vince's clear, crisp voice brings an honesty to what he sings, especially on "Do You Hear What I Hear". Although his daughter doesn't have the best voice on "Let There Be Peace on Earth", knowing it's a father/daughter duet lets us parents feel the pride and love they feel for each other.
