About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Leftism spans most of Paul Daley and Neil Barnes' singles output from 1992 to 1995 (excepting only "Not Forgotten") and adds several new tracks. Far from being just a stale progressive house LP, it spans a wide range of influences (tribal, dub, trance) and includes a good mixture of vocal tracks (with Toni Halliday, John Lydon, and Earl Sixteen) and instrumental workouts. January 01, 2007: Do you ever get tierd of buying an electronic album and finding out that all 16 tracks sound the same? Well, if so, you won't be pissed off for spending your hard-earned money on this album. Many artists have tried with weak attempts to forge different styles in one album to create a picture that is blissful. Leftfield accomplished the task with "Leftism". I have come to realize over the years that most of the sounds that are in my head daily are from this album. It grows on you and becomes part of your body like a peaceful virus. This is true music-you like techno? Then you like Leftfield. Always staying true to the foundation of electro using Zulu Nation as their influence, these guys are masters in their own way. Buy happiness---buy Leftism.
