About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Warren Zevon recorded the acoustic Learning to Flinch at various venues all over the world. All of his best-known songs are here, in riveting, rough acoustic forms. Longtime Zevon fans will find this essential, and it may win him a few new ones too. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

December 17, 2008: Outstanding live album. Maybe I'm biased because I attended two of the concerts from which material was taken, but I think this album provides a clear sense of Zevon's genius. His passion comes through brilliantly on this disc. It's not flawless -- some of the sound quality is a bit rough, and Zevon's occasionally intricate lyrics are mumbled rather than clear -- but it's a must-have for any serious Zevon fan.

Well worth it for the gems it contains...by Anonymous

February 23, 2005: Anyone who cans this album for it's occasional sound engineering flaws, hasn't listened to the versions of The Indifference of Heaven and Poor Pitiful Me on this disc. They're spectacular. To the true Zevon fan, this is a very enjoyable listen, and while the acoustic steel guitar sometimes overwhelms the vocals, there's alot of good material and it takes you back to this tour.
