Lacuna Coil's debut EP shows the progressive-metal band to have a pretty distinctive sound, with male and female vocals trading off over the group's melancholy, sometimes dark instrumental work. June 18, 2007: The self titled album is small with a short track list. It's rough like all first cuts are, but it shows you a glimpse of the gem that this band is! It has the most of the screaming death metal head freak boy that is calling himself a male vocalist. That is why I do'nt care too much for this album. BUT, it has the emergence of Christina Scabbia! Her vocals are as if an angel was trapped here on earth and made a rock group. She's rough in this album also, but so much better then her peirs. She's dead sexier then any of the Hollywood plastic women out there. And her voice will win you over.
