Wonderful, unjustly forgotten Leharby REKNY

July 04, 2009: Recorded in the '50's with a glorious cast well versed in the Austrian operetta tradition, this performance is a must!! Schwarzkopf, Gedda, Kunz, etc, are in top form. Conductor Otto Ackermann, not sufficiently well known, was a master of Viennese tradition. Sound is typical for the '50's, and should not deter anyone from buying this recording.
