The King's Christmas Collection contains four albums from the Choir of King's College, Cambridge -- Favorite Carols, A Festival of Lessons and Carols, An Advent Procession with Carols, Christmas Music -- in one box set. Since a few of these albums were out of print for several years prior to this 1998 release, the box set was welcome indeed, even if longtime fans will likely own many of the records in this set. Nevertheless, the King's Choir is exceptional, and each record has its own distinctive flavor, making this an excellent choice for listeners wanting a varied, comprehensive collection of choral Christmas music.
