Two Xavier Cugat albums from 1958 are joined on this two-fer from Collectables. King Plays Some Aces was part of RCA's Living Stereo series and features well-recorded Latin lounge songs, including "Cuban Mambo," "Oye Negra," and "Carioca." The other album in this set, Cugat in Spain, includes thematically appropriate material like "Madrid," "Playera (Dance No.5)," and "Ritual Fire Dance." Wade Kergan, All Music Guide
