April 22, 2005: Guy Sebastian has a voice that is all his own and a sense of music that comes from his very bones. This album shows his versatility and range, as well as his incredible voice. One can understand why he was so popular as a vocal coach, and his knowledge of sound engineering and music technology are also apparent. A man with the most glorious smile, he brings his joy of music to us all. His 2nd album "Beautiful Life" displays his extraordinary musical evolution and the reason why in 2005 he was called "the best male performer to come out of Australia" and the "best performer in the country". The one and only, unique, Guy Sebastian. (Who now promises a Gospel flavour for his third album - later in 2005 - 2 versions. Don't miss either of these because he is THE Gospel singer. Guy doesn't just sing with intelligence - his heart and soul are always apparent). An incredibly focused and strong individual, Guy Sebastian does things HIS way. Earlier in 2003 he also won the Pilot Pen competition with his own song "No More", completely produced and sung with his layered voices in his own studio. During the comp. he took each song and arranged them for himself, never content to do karaoke. Its so apparent from looking at his performances in 2003 just how much input he had musically and his final renditions were eyeopeners for us all, while they ranged from songs from Ritchie, Craig David, Prince, Rogers & Hammerstein, Thicke etc.ending with what appealed to his sense of humour by doing Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" (never content to just copy).
