This two-fer from Collectables features a pair of out-of-print LPs by easy listening artist Peter Nero: I've Gotta Be Me and Summer of '42, originally issued in 1969 and 1970. These 26 remastered tracks find the pianist interpreting hits of the era including "Hey Jude," "(They Long to Be) Close to You," "Never My Love," "Make It with You" and "You've Got a Friend." February 17, 2009: Lavish production quality for glamorous evening dinners or cocktail parties. This one is a real prize for true lovers of fine music made at a time when music wasn't "doctored" in the studio. Things were recorded live so-to-speak. If you listen carefully you can hear the performers take a breath on the wind intruments. Very special treat!
