February 10, 2009: I first popped this CD in while driving through the smokie mountains with the top down and clear Carolina blue skies. Well the opening song is Blue Skies, and it was a magical moment. But Stacy can do that, she is a fabulous musican. This is guitar, mandolin arrangements, not bluegrass, not country, not folk, but standards and great songs done with strings. Her voice is not only musically pure, but very expressive, you truly feel the songs as well as hear them. Her other CDs west on 40 and at the beggining, are wonderful as well, but changes style in the CD, this one is consistant clear through.
