The sprawling visuals of the American west in Sean Penn's film find perfect expression in Eddie Vedder's husky yet vulnerable croon -- and Pearl Jam fans find a trove of new classics. Barnes & Noble

Into the wild was a good bookby Anonymous

April 29, 2009: I read the book into the wild and thought it was a overall good book. the reason why i feal this way is the overall fact that it was based on a true story of a kid who wanted to explore the wildlife in alaska. this book depicts Chris McCandless's life of how he hitched hiked across america working in small towns and finally making it to the alaska territory and ends up dying from an injury that would have been unsubstantial if he woudlve been more prepaired.

November 02, 2008: Best thing Eddie Vedder has done in years, especially if you know and appreciate Chris McCandless's story.

I Also Recommend: Into the Wild.
