About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Lacuna Coil aren't always the doomiest of progressive goth metal bands; in fact, they sometimes sound like a heavier version of Heart, thanks to vocalist Cristina Scabbia's throaty wail. But that actually makes them more accessible, in the best sense of the word. In a Reverie, their first true full-length album, bears some similarity to contemporaries like the Gathering and Moonspell, but Lacuna Coil have their own distinct sound, which draws its dramatic power from both goth and classic metal. A fine debut from a band that bears watching. Steve Huey, All Music Guide

June 18, 2007: Okay, this album is what most of you may have heard on compilation albums and singles. There is a reason for this...CAUSE IT ROCKS! The great thing is though, is this is only the fourth best album from Lacuna Coil! This band is wonderful, minus the screaming wanna be death metal male vocalist.

great voices, melancholic and satisfyingby Anonymous

July 30, 2003: My first CD of them, and I'm thrilled! Not only does this album have no 'bad' or even 'less' tracks, but I like also the parts where Christina ( female vocals ) sings together with the male vocal ( Andrea, i guess..? ), you can call those parts 'modern duets' ! great. Also the melancholy that the album has, is still refreshing in the gothic genre. A good sing along, and beautiful lyric song is "Stately Lover", but I can't call it my favourite song...They are all great.
