Every now and then you get an album/CD that you like the first time you hear it. Every once in a great while, you get one where you like every song. This is one of those! The title cut is outstanding whether you are religious or not. When it first came out (1997), the only complaint that I had was there were not enough songs. The quality of these songs certainly made up for that. This deluxe version (2004) goes further by adding three live tracks. Needless to say, this is the best of Pastor Furay's three religous CD's (Season of Change-1982, I Am Sure-2005). His words are wonderful and inspiring, as is his voice and arrangements (perfect balance of guitar, banjo, steel & mandolin). Though I find his secular work with the Buffalo Springfield, Poco, SHF & solo work are also pretty special-especially that voice! Could not say enough about this one, hope you enjoy it as well. I found it makes a nice gift (Father's Day, Christmas, etc), I play it a lot. If you like this, I Am Sure is another good one. Not into this type of music, try his solo work. From the A Go Go Singers(1964) to present, he has sounded good for over 40 years. Bob Meade
