Another satisfactory album on Malaco for Latimore, who hasn't yet hit his stride on the label. His singing was soulful, but not as effective or hard-hitting as on other numbers. The production and arrangements were good, but there wasn't the energy or swaggering air that marked Latimore's best releases. His tenure at Malaco has been a successful one, but the definitive, exciting records he cut in Florida during the early '70s remain the high point of Benny Latimore's career. Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
