Editorial Reviews

I'd Really Like to See You Tonight and Other Hits is a good budget-priced, ten-track collection containing England Dan & John Ford Coley's original hit recordings on the Big Tree label and includes "Nights Are Forever Without You," "Love Is the Answer," "We'll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again," and "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight." Please note that this reissue includes the majority of cuts from Rhino's England Dan & John Ford Coley's Essentials issued in 2003, with the exception of "In It for Love" and "Falling Stars," which were omitted here. June 02, 2009: i picked up this collection out of morbid curiousity after reading of the passing of the England Dan part of this partnership. I was not anticipating much and was enticed by the low price. I have listened to the compilation frequently since purchasing it several weeks ago, and would recommend it to others. I was pleasantly surprised at the familiarity of many of their songs, and the lovely harmonies. Just the right music to put you in a mellow, relaxed mood after a high stress day but not so mellow that you would fall asleep. I was skeptical of such a seemingly one-hit wonder act, but call me now convinced. A great set of songs by underrated performers.
